Acer has announced its new TravelMate X514-51 thin and light commercial notebook series for small and medium businesses.
The TravelMate X5 sports a premium quality a magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis. These materials are two to four times stronger than standard aluminum alloys at the same thickness, yet weigh up to 20% to 35% less. This blend of materials makes the TravelMate X514-51 series thin and light while also being resistant to bending and twisting.
The TravelMate X514-51 weighs just 980 grams and measures 14,99mm thin making it easier than ever to hold and fit in a briefcase, bag or backpack. Up to 10 hours of battery life supports a full day’s work on a single charge.
The devices are powered by up to 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processors, up to 16Gb DDR4 memory, and up to two 512Gb solid state drives.

Supporting Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) with IPS technology, the TravelMate X514-51’s 14-inch display sports narrow 9.2mm bezels while Acer BlueLightShield lets users adjust the blue light emitted.
A full-sized back-lit keyboard provides comfortable typing and a precision touchpad offers a Corning Gorilla Glass NBT touchpad that supports two-finger scroll, pinch and gestures
Skype for Business Certified, the TravelMate X514-51 boasts audio and video as well as a 720p HD webcam with Acer Purified, two built-in speakers and two microphones, keyboard suppression and voice tracking. It is compatible with Cortana.
It also has a USB Type-C port for pairing with an optional Acer USB Type-C Dock II (sold separately). Connectivity is delivered via MU-MIMO 2×2802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0.
The TravelMate X514-51 comes with security features that include embedded fingerprint reader, the works with Windows Hello, a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 chip and preloaded Acer ProShield.
