Kathy Gibson reports from Lenovo Tech Life in Chartwell – As the number one PC company in the world, Lenovo is constantly innovating and expanding its product line.
Thibault Dousson, country GM of Lenovo South and southern Africa, explains that design and innovation is important to Lenovo.
This attention to detail spans the commercial, consumer and gaming markets. “Even the smallest details are important to Lenovo,” Dousson says.
Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are relatively new areas, but growing quickly.
“It is about empowering our customers, delivering tomorrow’s technology today,” he adds.
An interactive demonstration at Lenovo Tech Life saw products displayed in the situations they will be used in real life. South Africa is the first country in Africa to release the products.
“South Africa is strategically important for us in terms of the new series unveiled,” Dousson says. “Over the recent past, we’ve seen a shift in usage of personal computing devices that is currently underway across the region, with a significant increase in demand for transformative computing solutions and gaming PC’s.
“The event marks the availability of the new series and we could not be more excited to have consumers in South Africa experience our Intelligent Transformation strategy empowering customers with tomorrow’s technology today.”
Full details on all the new products launched and demonstrated at Lenovo Tech Life can be found in the Lenovo Content Hub.
But, as they say, there’s more – customers could win tickets to the Goldfish concert in December.
Simply follow Lenovo on Facebook (LenovoAfrica) and upload your version of the Lenovo jingle to potentially win one of four tickets up for grabs.
